Plesk Migrator omits important settings, gets others wrong, FPM

Hi all,

I recently migrated a complete Server via Plesk. OS on both sides Ubuntu 14.04.3, Plesk latest on both sides. So it should be straightforward, right? Er, nope...

Some - for me - crucial "per website" settings are NOT migrated:
  1. PHP Settings | Additional configuration directives
  2. Apache & nginx Settings | Additional nginx directives
so I ended up e.g. without the additional PHP-Settings to use Redis as session server, not to mention that my own Nginx-Config file...

Internal Server Error after Login to Plesk Panel

Hi,

After trying to log in to the control panel I get a completely white screen. Plesk Mobile returns 500 Server Error.

running

tail -fn0 /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log

returns nothing when attempting to discover the issue.

I have attempted to restart the psa and cp-server services but this does not have any effect. Neither does running plesk repair -y

Please can someone advise how I can resolve this?

nginx dosen t start on adding other IP addresses

Hello,

I have the latest plesk version 12.5 with centos7, on adding a new IPV4 and IPV6 adresses on Tools&settings -> Ip ... add new -> xx.xx.xx.xx/32 for dedicated IV4 and xx.xx.xx.xx.xx/64 for IPV6
Restarting the server, nginx dosen t start with error: "nginx emerg bind() to 443 failed (99 cannot assign requested address)" the error includes the NEW IP6 wich i checked with the provider support team and is correct.
So, searching for similar issues, i fond this:...

PHP 5.6 Certificate Authentication SMTP TLS

I know in PHP 5.6 it has to verify your domains SSL certificate otherwise sending email via SMTP will fail through TLS.

Like this.

My question is, is there some way of being able to point PHP 5.6 to my certificate within Plesk or do I need to get into my servers guts?

Passwords problem

I also tweeted to Plesk support about this.

Here's the issue. There's some kind of discrepancy between passwords for accessing the mariadb and the Plesk installation. I don't know what I did wrong, but the only way I can solve the issue is by constantly manually updating the admin password at command line after every Plesk update. I can also "break" Plesk by trying to go to phpMyAdmin from within the Plesk panel. If I do that, then I get the admin@localhost denied error even on the panel...

What is the best setup for email forwarding.

We had a setup where some email address on our plesk server are forwarded to our other server.
We use that other server only for email hosting and that other server had a spf checkt.

The problem with forwarding with spf check is that it is marked as spam, so i had to do srs rewriting to deliver the forwarded emails.

Now i want to forward all email on my plesk server to that other server that is hosting only our emails.
The problemm is this....

Confused, firewalld suddenly replaced by iptables on centos7?

I could swear i was using the default centos7 firewall: firewalld as firewall for my server but after i could not login to openvpn anymore i noticed that port for openvpn was closed... but when checking firewalld config it should be open.

after digging around i noticed that iptables package was suddenly installed but i'm almost certain i did not do that.

so my guess us the plesk install did an update or something and suddenly installed and enabled the ancient iptables package.

i guess...

Confused, firewalld suddenly replaced by iptables on centos7?

Plesk 12.5.30 - update error message

Good Day,

Earlier toady I updated Plesk from 12.5.30 Update #21 to #22. After the update I received a message that stated the update failed however Plesk indicates that I am on Update #22 now.

I looked into the following logs but didn't see anything that stuck out:

/tmp/autoinstaller3.log --> nothing stands out in this log file

/var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log --> several of the following errors

When I try to start in the Plesk control panel, I get this:

Error: Unable to make action: Unable to manage service by nginxmng: ('start', 'nginx'). Error: [2016-02-22 08:58:34] ERR [util_exec] proc_close() failed ['/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/nginx_control' '--start'] with exit code [255]
Can not start proxy server:

Similar error when doing command line.

Need immediate help!

DKIM record length

I can see there is a limit of 255 characters adding a DKIM dns record through Plesk.

Can someone tell me if its possible to add DNS records via CLI (and if I alter the varchar length in the database) we can then add larger DKIM records?

Reassigning Selected Subscriptions - ERROR: PleskFatalException

Hello, I'm trying to reassign a subscription and I got the following error:

Reassigning Selected Subscriptions
ERROR: PleskFatalException

Internal error: [Account::getPassword] cannot decrypt password to be plain.

Any idea?

The server is
OS ‪CentOS Linux 7.2.1511 (Core)‬

How do I create new SPF record

Using Plesk 12.5.30 on Centos I looked at the following

Maybe I'm missing something, but under Tools & Settings ---> Mail Server Settings I can not see how to create an SPF record. There is a section on Switch ON SPF spam protection, but this seems to be about filtering incoming email, not creating new SPF record.


I want to create an SPF record for my domain.

Php (cli) default version

Hello,

Since I'm not an expert, I actually have the problem that our Plesk 12.5.30 is running on a default php 5.3.3 version. Problem is, if I have to install packages with composer, this version is a way too old. We're mostly using php 5.5 / 5.6 with our registered domains, but we can't do anything with an old php cli version.

Is there a way to update it ? Or maybe change the global PATH ?

Mailbox disk usage calculation in psa database

I have noticed in the psa.mail database there are fields for quota and disk_usage but they never seem to change.

We set our subscriptions up via API using service plans, with the mailbox limit set to 2Gb per mailbox. I have read in other articles that the quota set at -1 means its the default or unlimited, but the disk usage is always "0".

How and when is this calculated and stored in to the database?

How to change default document root for apache

Hi,

Im planning to migrate some domains from one plesk server to another. In first plesk server, all the domains are located in "/home/vhosts/domain.com". On the new server which I built today, I can see website files are going to the default location "/var/www/vhosts/domain.com"

How can I change the Apache document root server wide (in the new server), so that all the new domains which I would create in future should also take "/home/vhosts" as the path (same as first server).

Hello;

I am trying to setup a default nameserver whereby all added domains uses it..

I want to create 2 NS:

ns1.companydomain.com
ns2.companydomain.com

so any other domain i add uses this instead of creating its own NS1 & NS2.

Unable to see Health Monitor on Plesk 12.5.30 (#15)

Hi there !

I'm running plesk 12.5.30 update 15 on Centos 6.7, and I want to keep an eye on server ressources.
I installed Health Monitor, but I can't find any link/button on my panel.
I tried to reinstall HM again but nothing.. I have two differents servers running plesk 12.5.30 and I have the sae issue.

Have I missed something ?

Broken server with 100 websites after "yum update" and no more support from odin with my OVH license

Hello guys

Today I decided to install some pending updates on my server and all hell broke loose.

Just did a simple "yum update" on my server, and now all my services are down....as the yum update screen was scrolling down and the only thing that caught my eye was a fatal error that said something like:
kernel fatal error unable to find a suitable template when the kernel update was being installed....but the final package verification ran fine....

all my main server services are not...

Broken server with 100 websites after "yum update" and no more support from odin with my OVH license
